Mr. Louis Hettenvan, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on Nov, 4, 2009.Louis was born in Claremont, Indiana on December 10, 1926, the son of the late Peter and Frances (Bosma) Hettenvan.Eli Lilly awarded him with a gold medal for surviving over 50 years with Type I Diabetes…He was a dairy farmer until 1970 when he switched to hay and grain farming. He was one of the last of the old-school generation of family farmers…He was a member of F&AM Blue Lodge.A Celebration of Life will be held at Bible Church of Brownsburg, 6045 E. 500 N, Brownsburg (Tilden Rd — family farm area) on Monday, November 9, 4 to 8pm.He was preceded in death by his wife Mary and brothers Abraham, Charles, and John.He was survived by his daughter Kathy M. Smith; grandsons Matthew Allen Harder, Joshua Brian Smith, and Aleksandr Louis-Newton Smith.Please bring your favorite memories to share.
